ESL ONE Cologne 2016

Not one to take a break, ReDeYe is returning to the stage to host at ESL One Cologne 2016. This stop marks ESL’s third CS:GO event this year and boasts a $1 million prize pool. Making a return to the Lanxess Arena, the tournament will run from the 5th July – 10th featuring teams from all over the world.

This tournament looks set to be the biggest yet, with the 14,000 spectator arena sold out. The prize pool was funded by players buying in-game items and marks the second major of the year.

This year the tournament is held much earlier than usual, giving the teams less time to recover and practise. The event will consist of sixteen teams, the top eight who placed at MLG Columbus and eight Challengers that qualified for Cologne. CS:GO has witnessed a disturbance in the pecking order since MLG Columbus, with many of the top teams going through peaks and troughs.

With only a few days left before the start of the group stages, who will gain a spot in the play offs and who will be going home? There is still time to create your own Fantasy league team for the tournament and decide for yourself.
