ESL ONE Frankfurt 2016

Hot off the heels of the Manilla Major, ReDeYe will be hosting ESL ONE Frankfurt 2016. After establishing himself as a fan favourite among the Dota 2 scene, he returns for hosting duties at the two day event in Frankfurt, Germany.

The tournament will take place June 18-19th and boasts a $250,000 prize-pool. This will be the third time that Dota 2 has featured at the Commerzbank-Arena and it will incorporate the largest screen ever used for a Dota 2 event at over 550 square meters. The arena will also have a wide variety of activities taking place, such as cosplay competitions, partner booths and player signings.

Joining ReDeYe for stage host duties is Eri “eri” Neeman. Whilst relatively new to the Dota 2 scene, Neeman has proved himself to be popular among fans. Accompanying the Frankfurt hosts are twelve of the most renowned commentators and analysts who will be covering the group and main stages at the event.

Virtus.pro accepted an eleventh hour invitation to the finals after the Chinese qualifier victors, LGD gaming, pulled out of the tournament due to unforeseen health reasons. This has not come without issues, however, as Virtus.pro’s carry, Ilya ‘ALOHADANCE’ Korobkin will not be able to compete initially as his visa is still pending.

With only a few days between tournaments, will OG claim victory again or can another team rise up the ranks and knock them off the top spot?

It’s not too late to create your own Fantasy team for the event and immerse yourself in the action.
